I’ve had an experience of a lifetime attending TC50 in San Francisco, thanks to Jason Calacanis and his Twitter contest. Being in the process of working on startup myself, this was certainly a fantastic miracle. I’ve learned quite a bit and have been doused with all the tech culture I could ever want. I’m absolutely basking and loving it all!

Speaking as a user of Uber, I'd purely love to post to my blog and give them a little of that traffic that Uber says it needs to live, but I can't. This is what I see when I try to log in.

http://www.imagechicken.com/viewpic.php?p=12249...

Nothing. During this period when Uber says it desperately needs us to post, it posts a notice that it is moving "to a new home", and then takes our sites offline for what has been a few days, now, with no timetable given for coming back online. They almost seem determined to self-destruct.

Amazing, 5.5 million in 5 months, a million dollars a month is a lot to spend even in Beverly Hills. Over the last seven months we've built http://zumeo.com for about 2% of what Uber has spent. I can't begin to image all we could have done with even a fraction of that money. I understand it is not that simple, but really, 5.5 million? Sounds like Uber needed some oversight.

SoCal continues to be a hotbed of interactive companies that provide great value to their users and customers.

The brand new startups at TC50 represent the best in innovation and creativity. I'd like to see a bit more emphasis on the companies' revenue and profit projections to get a better idea of which innovative companies will be around for a while.
